October/November Spotlight – DIY-Boudoir
A brand new project. James has teamed up with boudoir tog Lindsay Wakelin to create DIY-Boudoir. The name of the game is showing enthusiastic snappers how to create sensual images in their own home, without the benefit of studio lighting or expensive cameras. The stunning Devon (featured above) is one of the models you get a chance to work with in our fully interactive workshops. Sound a bit like a studio day? It’s not. Places are strictly limited to four per workshop, so each person gets plenty of expert help from James and Lindsay, and plenty of time photographing our model. More details, including tickets, can be found on the DIY-Boudoir Eventbrite page and please visit the DIY-Boudoir Facebook page and leave a ‘like’ (if you like).
A gallery of images from a shoot with (current Miss Essex) Devon will appear soon….

James also offers individually tailored 1-2-1 tuition covering anything from camera basics and the fundamentals of photography to studio lighting and advanced photo-editing in Photoshop. Sessions can also include an introduction to nude and boudoir photo shoots, including how to recruit models, photo-shoot etiquette, and lighting the human figure. About the Photographer
James lives in the old English fishing town of Wivenhoe, Essex. He divides his time between commercial photography, boudoir photo shoots, and his personal work.
He was educated at the University of Essex, earning a Bachelor’s degree in English and European Literature and a Master’s degree in Computer Studies. He spent a decade working in London, during which time he first began to exhibit his photographic imagery. A passionate belief that people should endeavour to live their dreams lead him to make photography his life and profession. To that end, he attended The London College of Communication where he studied Professional Photography Practice. He followed that up by taking the Graduate Certificate course in Digital Lens Based Image Making, for which he was awarded a distinction.
